The Asian startup expo “Fly Asia (FLY ASIA) 2025” was held at BEXCO in Busan on September 22–23. Under the theme of “Innovation from Local, Scale-up to Global,” the event, now in its 4th year, demonstrated Busan’s potential to leap beyond being a hub for local entrepreneurship and become a key Asian base where global capital and technology for innovation converge. In particular, the imminent entry of the world-renowned accelerator Plug and Play into Busan, the fusion of AI with traditional industries, and the full-scale activation of a 500-billion-won investment ecosystem were highlighted as Busan’s strengths that can turn this potential into reality.
